In-person therapy is offered at Wellpeople Integrative Healing Center in Brentwood, California. Wellpeople is a space of independently practicing practitioners.
A limited number of beach therapy sessions may also be available.

The first appointment is a time to collaboratively review areas of informed consent, begin building our therapeutic relationship, and to learn more about your current concerns, parts of your past, and lifestyle habits. The therapeutic process is collaborative from the beginning; your questions and feedback are welcomed.

The length of therapy varies depending on your needs and goals. Sometimes people achieve their initial goals, but continue therapy to address other concerns. Others may achieve their initial goals and be eager to implement changes without the support of ongoing therapy.

To begin, therapy is most often held once per week. Meeting less frequently may be appropriate as treatment continues.

In general, the privacy of communications between a client and a psychologist is protected by law and information can only be released with written permission. But there are some exceptions.
Limitations to confidentiality are discussed in greater detail at the start of therapy so that you have an opportunity to have your questions answered and provide consent to proceed with treatment.

My practice is considered out-of-network with insurance carriers.
You may submit a superbill to your insurance carrier. Depending on your insurance plan and coverage, you may be eligible for partial reimbursement of the session fee. You are encouraged to contact your insurance carrier to gather specific information about your benefits, if applicable.

Good rapport can be a sign of a good fit as it can provide a foundation for the trust, understanding, and sense of safety that is needed to do meaningful therapeutic work. An initial informational consultation call can be a great opportunity to get a sense of how we may work together.

At Wellpeople, I work alongside other independently practicing professionals. While the professionals share an office space, I am completely independent in providing clinical services. My professional records are separately maintained and no other professional at Wellpeople can have access to them without a client’s specific, written permission.
